Stress...How can we handle it?

Stress...How can we handle it? This question is never obvious; we hardly ask this to ourselves. Why? Because we are not aware how unknowingly we are undergoing stress. We try to hide behind work load, friends, addiction and try to please ourselves. This is the most we do when we are in stress. We don't admit it, we try to run away from it. In short we do not have the courage or understanding how to face it or how to handle it. There is no specific age when stress might hit you. Even a small baby can undergo stress. Children, teenagers, middle aged and even old people can undergo stress. However, the reason or root cause of this stress varies with age group. A small baby may get stressed if it’s kept in unhygienic environment, lot of noise, manhandled and so on. A grown up child also might get stressed in such an environment because the baby or the child cannot stop what is going on around and continues to be subjected to these harsh moments. The most they can do is cry ...

Thoughtful

Who is better? Its better to be a shark you are feared and condemned But still you are confident and honest to the core. Happily die fighting one day.   As against the shell fish which runs away and hides Fearing trouble and pain but all in vain...one day either fished for food or crushed mercilessly under some foot. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// For a Day! For a day let me be ME Forgetting all work and responsibilities For a day let me set myself Free I need to listen every happy beat of my heart For a day let me not any tears See I need to break all fears in my mind For a day let me be ME /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// What is Love? What is Love? Its a beautiful feeling. What is Love? Its divine and he...

The Bermuda Triangle- Mystery??

The Wikipedia Says... The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a loosely-defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The vicinity of the Bermuda Triangle is one of the most heavily traveled shipping lanes in the world, with ships frequently crossing through it for ports in the Americas, Europe, and the Caribbean islands. Cruise ships and pleasure craft regularly sail through the region, and commercial and private aircraft routinely fly over it. Accidents or Mysterious Incidents.... On 30 January 1948, a BSAA Avro Tudor IV plane disappeared without trace. Twenty-five passengers and a crew of six were on board The Star Tiger. No bodies or wreckage were found. Almost a year to the day after the disappearance of the Star Tiger, another Avro Tudor IV belonging to BSAA vanished between Bermuda and Jamaica.  Exactly one hour after departure ...

The Tiger…

A recent addition to the Endangered species is The Tiger. A magnificent and Majestic Animal, who is the largest among the Cat Species. When I see my pet cats, I often think as if I have miniature tigers. Since the Tigers and Cats belong to the same family they do exhibit similar behavior in many ways. But nothing can match the Loud Roar and Royal looks of a Tiger. Felt very sad, when I came to know that they are endangered species and need to be protected and conserved, as very few are remaining on earth. Was surprised by the fact that the Tiger is National animal of countries like India, Bangladesh, Malaysia and South Korea. The Bali Tiger, Caspian Tiger and Javan Tiger subspecies are already extinct. The surviving subspecies of Tiger are Bengal Tiger, IndoChinese Tiger, Malayan Tiger, Siberian Tiger, South China Tiger and Sumatran Tiger. I hope these remaining are protected and conserved and not fall prey to Poachers and Hunters. They kill them for making some traditiona...

H for Holy or H for Hypocrisy...

H for Holy or H for Hypocrisy  :)  ... There are different type of people in the world. The most common type is called as Hypocrites. The meaning explained is, "A person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions defy stated beliefs. " Another interesting explanation is "A person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life,  opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements." I was shocked to know such people exists and that too so commonly. Its very difficult to trace if a person is a hypocrite or not in the first shot, as they very cleverly camouflage their true identity. As I grew up, I learnt that honest and straightforward people are considered rude and very few appreciate them. People love sweet talkers, as they exhibit they are the nicest people on earth and hide their true self. Many people g...

Random Thoughts and Emotional too! :)

I often felt the urge to write from within, since childhood. My handwriting as a child was called as elephant foot prints as my letters were very large occupying all space between single lines.  :) My teachers scolded and always told me to improve my handwriting but somehow I could not change. As a kid I never missed a chance to write an essay or paragraph or even better a letter to someone. I wrote letters to my dad when he was away working, giving him all daily diet instructions and lectures.  :) But somehow these lectures were also very dear to him and used to reply me back with lots of love. Wrote letters to my Grandpa, as he preferred to spend his retired life on our farm, as a farmer. I used to write poems for him, prepare greeting cards and send him. He used to say, I long to see your mails and enjoy them reading over and over again. I once wrote a big lecture letter to my elder cousin, as I came to know from dad that he drinks too much and wasting his life. He was so ...

Passion & Conviction!

This is a true incident narrated by my grandpa. Its a story of struggle to accomplish a very difficult task. Time back around 48 years back, my grandpa was posted in a small town near mumbai, he was appointed priest in the church there. There was a big compound with a beautiful church built nearly 100 years ago by the portuguese, had a graveyard in back yard. A parsonage for the priest and his family to stay. As my grandpa moved around he found the graveyard un kept, big snakes in the vicinity. The church needed repairs, hardly any chairs or benches were there. He realised not many members were there and it looked like a deserted place. My grandpa had tears in his eyes seeing the bad state of the church. He contacted the Bishop if he could help sanction some funds but he said the amount of funds needed is very high as large scale repair is needed, if required he could transfer him in some other church. But my grandpa said No, he would like to continue here. So he started his long strugg...

My First Trek

My First Trek There is a first time for everything and here I share experience of my first trek.  :) It was a beautiful cloudy morning when I started early, could feel the morning chill. Dressed in Black Jeans and Maroon shirt, wearing cute shoes for trekking, my small backpack with necessary things. My sling purse hanging crossed on my shoulders. Ready for an exciting adventure. Further as you read, you will understand that adventures not only create thrilling experiences, they also teach you lessons for life.  :) Our group of office colleagues reached via bus at the starting point, there we had a professional trekker group waiting for us. Total three team members, The Head Trekker, another assistant and a local guy as guide. They held a briefing before we started giving useful tips, handed a packet to each, which had 2 apples, small Buttermilk pack, juice pack and a bottle of water. I arranged these extra items in my backpack and we started off. Soon I realised my walking pa...

Could We Know Our Future?

Could we know our future? This is a sort of a mysterious question which one must have asked himself or herself. Each one of us at some or other time in our life did try on some predictions based on Numerology, Palmistry or Astrology. No one can say I have never read my zodiac predictions anytime in life  :) What makes humans curious to know their future? Is it because God has blessed us with more mature brains or are we insecure or bear some fears in our minds? Animals and Birds don’t run to astrologers or check their zodiacs nor are they bothered about their future. They just stock enough food that they and their families can survive in harsh weather, apart from that; they do not even have a doubt about their future. Does that mean they have faith and trust in God more than Humans? This is a serious question for all Humans.  :) But the answer to this is that Human mind is very curious. It relies on logic, advice and experiences of the past. The mind quickly races back i...

Christmas Time!

Its the best time of year, you feel good a whole year is gone by. Some accomplishments, some disappointments but still going strong. This is also the most love filled and caring time of the year. The festive spirit of Christmas makes everyone joyous. :-) Christmas is incomplete without Santa Claus and yes Gifts!  :-) I remember as a kid I used write my wish and keep under my pillow, hang a red stocking. Every Christmas morning I used to wake up and find my wished  gift on my pillow and my stocking full of chocolates. What delight these moments gave.  :-) I was fooled by my parents until I was thirteen, but one year I saw my Dad putting the gift and chocolates. That morning I cried and cried then never again wrote a letter to Santa. But after a few years I realised my parents did not do anything wrong. What is Santa? He is a spirit who touches some Golden hearts and they act like a Santa for someone. I was happy and thanked my parents for giving me the most cherished memo...

Pets

I often wondered as a child, how animals can live along with Humans. We don’t know their language and they don’t know ours. Their food and living habits are different from Humans so in short they are complete mis-matches with Humans. As a child I used to observe my Grandma giving food to our pet cat, the way he likes. Grandma liked to keep hens and fed them and took care of them so well. Among the hens was a huge cock, which was always in angry mood. He used to run behind us to peck, so when he was free, we were not around and vice versa. :)  But he never used to peck my Mom or Grandma and the rest were so scared of him.  My Mom told our pet dog stopped eating when my Grandma was admitted in hospital. Finally after 2 days, my Grandpa took special permission from the hospital and took our Dog to meet her. When he saw her he was happy and sat under her bed. Now after 2 days he drank a bowl full of milk sitting under her bed. Then he behaved normal when they took him back home b...

Read...This word is one of the most complex words of English as present and past tense have same spelling but it is pronounced differently. Meaning is simple… to look at and mentally interpret the characters or symbols of which it is composed off. It also means to inspect and record like measure something with a scale. But does Read meaning end here? Is there any anything associated with Read and is not defined yet? Maybe there is! We will try to explore this undefined meaning of Read and try to understand if it really exists or not. All have their own favourite stuff to read…some like to read current affairs in newspapers, current market trends, some like to read mystery novels, articles or informative write-ups in magazines or knowledge books.
